FAQs
Why are we so cheap?
We are an online coffee roastery with a small team that just roasts coffee. We don’t supply equipment, we don’t offer barista training and you aren’t paying for fancy packaging or branding. These reduced savings are passed down to you and this gives you a higher mark-up that ultimately means more money in your pocket each week!
What is the quality like, does the coffee taste good?
Without blowing our own trumpet, we are experienced coffee roasters with a passion and understanding for the craft. Our coffee is precision roasted with (controversially) the best equipment and class leading roasting technology. We're also experienced coffee roasters with over 8-years experience behind a roasting machine. We are proud of our coffee and confident that switching to our coffee beans won’t be a downgrade, if anything an upgrade.
How fresh is the coffee?
ALL our coffee is super fresh! This means that your coffee will be roasted within a week of the order being placed.
How long will it take to deliver?
Our roasting days are Monday - Thursday and we aim to dispatch your order ASAP usually on the same or following day of the order. South Island and Rural orders generally take an extra working day.
How can I brand my own coffee beans?
We supply you with the required dimensions for packaging in which are passed onto your graphic designer that create the labels for our packaging. If you would like to discuss other packaging options, flick us a message.
How do I purchase the coffee?
Simply click the 'Buy Wholesale Coffee' tab and add the quantity required to your shopping cart. Once the order is processed we roast and dispatch the order with a confirmation e-mail sent when the coffee is on its way.
How are the beans packaged?
Our beans are packed into 2kg sealed bags with one-way valves to keep the beans free from oxygen. These bags are unbranded and unlabelled with date stamps which state the day the coffee was roasted.
What is the shelf life?
We recommend serving our beans within 6-12 weeks from the roast date.
Coffee is always so inconsistent, how do we maintain quality and consistency?
We have the latest tools and equipment to maintain our quality and consistency. This includes a computerised system that tracks and logs each roast. We also taste our coffee (cup) on a regular basis.
I would like to enquiry about contract roasting or create my own blend of coffee exclusive to my café?
